Here are a list of commonly asked questions about Loyalsock AYSO and information on the program.

Who is eligible to play for Loyalsock AYSO?
Anyone within the specified birth years can play Loyalsock AYSO. Our divisions run by birth year not school grade or anything else. If you fall within the specified birth years, you may play.

Do I have to live within Loyalsock School District to play?
No. Anyone may play for Loyalsock AYSO regardless of what school district you live in. We have a good number of kids playing from school districts other than Loyalsock.

Where do I sign up?
Registration is all online and paid for via credit card. We have open registration twice a year for fall and spring seasons accordingly.

When can I sign up?
Registration for fall seasons will typically open up in late April/May and close June/July. Registration for spring seasons opens November and will typically run through the end of January. Please always check our website and Facebook for specific registration dates. Due to coaching and other needs, we cannot accept registrations outside of these windows.

When does the season start?
Practices for the spring season will start late March typically with games beginning early-mid April. The season usually will run through the first week or two in June. Practices for the fall season typically start sometime in August with the season running through the end of October. Games for the fall typically begin after Labor Day.

When will my child practice?
Most divisions from 8U and up practice two nights during the week for anywhere from 45 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on the age group. Practices days and times are up to the discretion of the team's head coach. You will be notified of these dates prior to the start of the season via the coach. Our 6U division practices only one night per week, typically on Monday evenings, for approx. one hour.

When are games?
Divisions 8U and up play games on Saturdays. Games are scheduled through the day. Game schedules will be released shortly after the start of each season's practices. 6U does not play Saturday games but rather a 30 minute scrimmage against another Loyalsock 6U team each practice night.

Where are practices/games held?
For all divisions 6U - 12U, practices are held at Heshbon Park. Our 15U division practices at Short Park. Home games for 8U - 12U are all played at Heshbon Park. 15U home games are played at Short Park. You will also play away games which will be held at fields within other regions surrounding the area (i.e. Williamsport, Montoursville, Hughesville, Sullivan County, Jersey Shore, etc.)

What does my child need to play?
All participants must wear shin guards with socks that go over top to cover during all practices and games. No player will be allowed to play without these items regardless of age group. Cleats are required for divisions 8U and up and optionally at our 6U level. All cleats must be soft spike. Practice attire is up the player. 8U and up are required to come in full uniform on game days consisting of Loyalsock maroon jersey, grey/silver shorts, and grey/silver socks. All other attire must go underneath the uniform (i.e. sweatshirts, Under Armor, etc.). We also recommend water bottles for children at all practices and games. If your child has their own ball, they are welcome to bring it (please see below for sizes).

What size ball is used?

6U/8U - Size 3

10U/12U - Size 4

15U - Size 5
